On day 100 years after 'Titanic' s fateful virgian trip you can place exactly the same journey.

Fred. Olsen-ship "Balmoral" has been picked to sail in 'Titanic' s wake.

- This is something we've thought for a while, and it has been a lot of speculation on the Internet. Therefore, we decided to just do it, "said Martin Powell, press spokesman for the agency Miles Morgan Travel, which is behind Titanic cruise.

The plan is to copy the legendary "Titanic"-the journey as much as possible, albeit with one significant difference: It is not intended that the "Balmoral" will sink in the North Atlantic, after having struck an iceberg.

Virgin TOUR: "Titanic" ready for departure in Southampton Friday 1912.Departing from Southampton in England will be in April 2012, 100 years after "Titanic" war from the same city. But ironically NOK must "Balmoral" sail a few days earlier than its predecessor for 97 years, in order to keep up in time.

- We have tried to copy the "Titanic" s travel as far as possible. We should have the same food, same music, and to follow the exact route Titanic sailed. Almost, in any case. We will not stop Cherbourg in France. Titanic was so much faster than today's cruise ships, that we simply do not have time to travel through France, "said Powell.

For while the Atlantic Vapor for Erne 100 years ago competed beem higer on speed, today's cruise ships are built for more soft and not speed. aeroplanes has taken over the market for urgent missions.
The clock 23.40 in the evening 14. April will "Balmoral" make a stop in the Arctic Ocean.

- Exactly the same time as the "Titanic" went on the iceberg and sank, we will find us at the same location. Here it will be a cermony, music, lectures and a number of other marks, "says Powell.

Journey has not the same historical guides, so here's the free agency. We plan to visit Halifax in Nova Scotia, where "Titanic"-the victims were buried.

Cruise ends in New York, that was "Titanic" 's real goal.

Prices for the 12 days long herligheten lies between 25 700 and 79 000 million pounds at current exchange rate, depending on cabin type.

- Who is going to go on a cruise?

- We believe that it would be "Titanic"-enthusiasts from around the world who have been fascinated by the story. In addition, we hope that there will be someone who has some connection to the ship or who were affected by the disaster, says Powell.

"Balmoral" was built in 1988, and has never claimed to be the world's largest and most luxurious ships, like "Titanic" was in his time. But they are sized in about the same division. "Balmoral" is 218 meters long, while "Titanic" was 269. "Balmoral" is on 43 537 gross register tons, while "Titanic" was 46 328 gross register tons.
